We are dedicated to living up to our name by providing Affordable Solar in the City & County of Honolulu. We install solar water heating systems and photo-voltaic electric systems.

Affordable Solar is a participating independent contractor in the Hawaii Energy Efficiency Program.

There is a $1000 co-payment from Hawaii Energy Efficiency Program at this time for converting residential homes to solar hot water. We have won the Certificate of Excellence for Highest Percentage 1st Inspection Pass Rate numerous times.

These incentives may be available when you put a new solar system on your residence in Hawaii:

• 30% Federal Tax Credit

• 35% State of Hawaii Tax Credit

Here's an example of how the credits may be calculated

Gross system cost for a hot water system will depend on:

1. How many people live in your household.

2. What area of the island. (so we can determine your sun zone)

3. Where water heater tank is located now & how accessible is that area.

4. Is it a one or two story building.

5. Type of existing roofing material.

6. How south your roof faces and the angle of your pitch.
